Taking back car from father in-law would certainly aggravate the strained relations between the father-in- vs. son/daughter in law, whether the car comes back legally or otherwise. Personally I feel that leaving the situation as it is would yield better results.Your client's daughter is fortunate enough to have a husband who is ready to quarrel with his father. She should be happy that her father-in-law atleast has given her a considerate and sympatheitc husband.

Since the car is in the name of father of the bride (your client), it is not difficult to get the possession of the car back. However, harbhajan advice is very logical and pragmatic.
