Inclusion of graduation in my service register

Sir, I had completed my graduation by the time I joined in the Ministry of CBDT. But when the exams for the post in which I am presently working, was going on, my graduation was in progress. I had mentioned my graduation to be "Continuing" in the attestation form and had sent the documents upto Intermediate to the Ministry. They are having my highest qualification "Intermediate" in their record. I need to include the highest educational qualification as Graduation in my service register. What should I do. Would there be any problem? Kindly guide me.

there is no problem. You have to submit an application by enclosing true copy of pass certificate of graduation to your employer requesting to make an entry in your service register regarding graduation.

You enclose a xerox or true copy of pass certificate of your graduation application to your employer requesting him to make an entry of your graduation IN YOUR SERVICE RECORDS.

First of all your query is not legal. You have apparently not at all contacted your establishment section.

Further there is no Ministry called CBDT. It is an organisation dealing with Income Tax under Deptt of revenue, under Ministry of Finance.

Further there is nothing on record that you applied for permission to continue studies after joining service. Mere mention in attestation form doe snot amount to granting you such permission.

Further what you describe as Service Register is actually Service Book.

Now deptt may (if they become lenient) include the qualification by giving ex-post factor solution or may not show such charity.

You may have no remedy if they refuse to add under these circumstances. So approach politely.

You have atleast one good thing by mentioning appropriately in forms submitted by you.
In future prefer to apply for sanction to pursue course and get sanction.

Further in addition to refusing to enter your qualification, the deptt can take disciplinary action as well on the charge of continuing further studies without permission of the deptt. If such action is taken it may impede clearance of probation.

So go polite and submissive.
