inspection of court records filed before supreme court

Ld. memebers,

I want to know the process to inspect the decided case filed before the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

I have heared that anyone can inspect the decided case file. Kindly tell me where this rule is in written form and can I, having no relation with the matter, can inspect the decided case file.

You cannot inspect the decided case file in any Court.If you want seek any information.You can get the certified copy of that file.

Dear Sir

Thanks a lot for this information but I have inspected decided case file in lower court at Tis Hazari, Delhi as per the court rule in record branch.

Now I want to inspect the same of supreme court and I have heared that it is possible but unable locate the law/rule in written form.

yes you can inspect the records at supreme court the same has been given at chapter 9 of the practice and procedure hand book , for you convenience i am reproducing the the relevant portion
"Inspection: A party to any case, appeal or matters who has appeared as well as his advocate is entitled to search or inspect all pleadings, documents or record of his case on payment of prescribed Court Fee of Rs. 3/-. Search or inspection is to be carried out in the presence of an officer of the Court after 24 hours notice in writing to the parties who have appeared. The Court, on the application of a person who is not a party to the case, appeal or matter, may allow him such search or inspection on good cause being shown for this purpose."

every time any record can be inspected.
RTI is not cover where specific right has been given.
