A Civil Dispute involving the Executant (Grand father 84 years old) adopting his Grand daughter (8 years) after untimely death of his only son at an early age.
The adoption along with court protection for the minor was done following all the neccessary legal procedure.
After maturity of the minor as major all material papers regarding this adoption issue was lost. The Executant and guardian expired in between.
How and where can she obtain the adoption records (in which court) and what procedure need to be adopted. This evidence is essential for her to dismiss the exisiting civil dispute.

She may obtain the certified copy from the office of the Registrar wherein such adoption deed was executed. She can also have certified copies of the court order of her guardianship after her adoption wherein such adoption must have been mentioned. It is very simple and any advocate can have these copies easily.

An application for inspection of records at the record room has to be made and thereafter the Goshwara Register has to be checked where entries of all files are made serial number wise (Gaph Numbers) chronologically. The first name (petitioner) would certainly be Executant (Grand father). The records would be of the courts of District Judge(s).

If it is regd., adoption deed then certified copy can be obtained from the sub registrar. If any order of the court regarding appointment of the minor guardian If it is not regd., then the evidence of the wittnesses is necessary.
