Is it possible to find who made false complaint against us to electricity board

Few days ago, Flying Squad of MSEB (Maharashtra State Electricity Board) visited our house & conducted their search for any kind of electricity theft.
After doing thorough investigation, they came to the conclusion that everything is fine in our premises.
We came to know from Flying Squad team that someone has made false complaint against us for electricity theft, hence flying squad searched our premises.
I want to know is there any way to find (like RTI, etc) to find who made false complaint against us because of which we were inconvenienced.
Please suggest all the possible ways with details.

yes you can werite to the company demanding the complaint application. if they refuse give RTI application

though such information is kept by electricity board as this is their profession right to do so. In some States, such boards even provide case prize if the same is recovered from the customer involved in theft of energy.
As in your case, no theft has been found so board can provide you information about such false and mischievous person, if their allows for that under RTI Act.

They may state they searched you on their own doubt for if they reveal to you and you propose to take any action against the informer their purpose of getting information may get frustrated.An informer of any crime or suspected crime can be kept secret as a matter of policy.

After investigation, it is proved that complain is wrong. You can seek complainant name through merely application stating that you are not done wrong.
However, if MSEB bye-law, not allow so, then it can't.

Normally the govt authorities will not give details of the informer.

I do not think that such an information has any value or use to you now that no irregularity has been detected by the Squad. Moreover, in the normal course, Electricity Boards do not part with such information which may sometimes expose the informer to danger to his life also. You might have heard that a new legislation to protect the Whistle Blowers has recently been introduced in the Lok Sabha to given legal protection to such informers and as such please do not waste valuable time & energy of not only yours but many others by entering into such futile attempts. You should be happy that your credibility has enhanced by successfully overcoming the checking of the MSEB Squad.
