Is there any right of family members in gifted agriland property ?

I want to ask one question ,my friends mother got gift of agri land from her mother 28 years ago. now my friends mother's land was purchased by govt. for public purpose ,she got money from govt. as she had her name on 7/12 paper she got whole amount on her name ,now her brother and his son file a suit against her asking their share in that land they file a suit on the basis that the said land was ancestral land & all family members have their share in that said land .so can they have any such right in gifted property ?

The land was in the name of your friends mother, in the given facts her brother or any other relative has no share in the compensation received by her.
