Dear sir,
I want to know whether Maharashtra Rent control Act 1999 is applicable to other States of India. Is the Leave and License agreement entered into between Landlord and Tenant in other states other than under Maharashtra Control Act , are under the jurisdiction of Courts of UP or other states? More over sir I want to know is it compulsory to get Lease agreement of house for less than 11 months registered with the sub-registrar. In case of default of a registered Lease agreement, what are the remedies available to the Landlord? I am also attaching a Leave and License agreement (sample) kindly tell me if it is OK.

each state has its own rent control acts . leave and licence agreement executed in a particular state wherein property is situated would be subject to jurisidiction of courts in said state
