you should give proper procedure and leave letter, if not accept you keep one copy. and if management take further steps then you send legal notice.

Were you allowed by the employer to take exam?
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 07 May 2014
Whether your service rules permit paid leave for taking examination for getting higher information and if yes, in what conditions? Have you observed the laid down conditions?
Guest (Expert) 07 May 2014
If you took admission in the MA course with due permission of the management, they are bound to sanction you leave for taking exam. Otherwise, that rests at the discretion of the management.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 08 May 2014
The management will be right in refusing the leave quoting service exigencies if at all the permission for further studies was granted subject to the said service exigencies.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 09 May 2014
By and large the employer shall not refuse his/ her employee to take exam for betterment of the employee's career, discuss and request employer, you will be allowed even if you had not sought prior permission.
