a person has certain amount of money in his account and also a property in his name.he left with his wife and three sons as soon as he died.the bank requested them to submit legal heir certificate so as to claim his money and also they are in need of another legal heir certificate to transfer the property in their name.now my question is shall they apply for two legal heir certificate?

for transfer of property you the legal heirs need legal heir certificate.

but for claiming the deceased's money from bank the legal heirs need to file succession original petition before the concern court.

Just to add a line, pl. ind out from the bank whether the deceased has availed nomination facility for his bank deposit,and if yes, the nominee can operate the account without any hassle.
