Greetings! In a suit for declaration and injunction we are the plaintiffs and the defendant have been set in exparte. It is an old suit filed in 2000. now after so many years a third part has moved an application for impleadment as defendants. do they have to explain this inordinate delay. Does limitation apply on it. Can you help with any relevant judgement.

sir this is not an academic query... I need to know this. because section 21 of limitation act seems to apply when the plaintiff seeks impleadment of a party as defendants. but here a third party is interested. so is there any limitation on them.

Thank you rajeev sir. but the Hon'ble court is asking for any any provision of law or any precedent to show that limitation applies. I failed to find any such precedent. It would be generous if you help.
