Limitation for appeal before high court in service matter

(Querist) 15 June 2016 This query is : Resolved
Central Administrative Tribunal has delivered its order on 15-03-2013 in favour of applicants. What is the time frame or limitation in service matter to file an appeal before High Court? And under which Act limitation of service matter is covered.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 16 June 2016
The order of CAT is amendable to challenge in high court for which 90 days time is prescribed which has passed long back.
So unless the explain the delay which seems difficult the appeal is unlikely to be allowed.
P. Venu (Expert) 16 June 2016
The decisions of the Administrative Tribunals are final and no statutory appeal lies.

However, the High Court could be approached through Writ of Certiorari under Article 227. There is no period of limitation, but admitting such a Writ is a matter of discretion and the the HC may take an adverse view of unexplained lache.

How are you concerned?

Hope expert Mr. Venu's opinion made you understand on the next step to be adopted.
