Lost of birth certificate

lost birth certificate of my 11 yr son.my son having a passport in which details are available. Is there any need in future for birth certificate, if it is, then i can give affidavit in lieu of birth certificate or showing birth details in passport is sufficient.Pl advice.

Get it issued again, it can be issued on payment of negligible amount.

Apply for duplicate copy from the Municipal authority.
It is a valuable document and will be needed in future on innumerable occasions.

apply for birth certificate once again, you will get an extract from the register of births maintained by the department of births and deaths in the concerned Municipality.

Birth Certificate is needed for many acts, even for appearing in SSLC exams etc, you have to produce the original birth certificate. So, apply for the another one birth certificate, now, I advise you to apply for two or more copies.
