you will have to pay maintenance of anything between rs. 5,000/- to 10,000/-
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 25 January 2010
There is no fixed rule for maintenance. It depends upon the status of husband and the court's satisfaction about the earning of the husband.

I do agree with barman.
Srinath Kondapally (Expert) 25 January 2010
Mr.Barman is correct, besides this your wife has to proove your income to satisfy her need in the court of law
B K Raghavendra Rao (Expert) 25 January 2010

If your wife demands equal status of living and argue effectively, the court may fix up anywhere between 33% to 50% of your earnings (take home salary) as maintenance for your wife, provided she is not employed or has no source of income. Normally, it is one-third.
G. ARAVINTHAN (Expert) 31 January 2010
33%of your total income can be awarded as maintenance for wife. If children is there and they are on her care, then you have to pay for their maintenance also
