i want to register a marriage but i am in confusion that , i will register it under Hindu Marriage act or Special marriage act , which method is correct one,

If you hae undergone the rituals of Hindu Marriage then you can register under HMA but if no such rites and customs have been performed then you have to register under SMA.

If both are Hindus and ceremonies as well as rituals conducted as per Hindu custom, then you can very well register under Hindu Marriage Act

If not religion based or not followed customary rituals, then can be registered under Special Marriage Act
