Minimum wages in delhi

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 07 August 2011 This query is : Resolved
An Ex-Employee has sent his 15 year old brother to learn the work in a Shop in Delhi (as Apprentice).

Now tell me that,

1. Whether the minimum Wages Act applies in this case ?

2. Whether he will be treated as a labour ?

See, If you are authorized to give apprentice ship, then apprenticeship act will be applicable. Otherwise Child Labour act will be applicable against you. For more details: www.dvrao.com

Child Labour (Prohibition ^ Regulation) Act is applicable to child below the age of 14 years. Certainly Minimum Wages will apply to him.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 08 August 2011
It shall apply to him.
