Whether mutation of immovable property can be done on the basis of will ? Name of the Act and number of section under which this is possible may please be indicated.

on the basis of the will you will have to file an application before the concerned revenue office to mutuate the name. No section is required just simple application.

Before u approach the Revenue authorities you have to get the will probated by filing an application in the Dt. Court for probate of the will.Probate of the will establishes its genuineness and is accepted by all the authorities concerned.
