Natural mother as kartha

If father dies .mother can be a kartha of the family...on behalf of minor sons and a daugter..
I think 2016 or 2017 in supreme court judgement said that monther can act as kartha

I belongs to Karnataka only.....a widow lady sold the vacant site to buyer thruogh reg deed on behalf of her minor sons.property transfred from lady husband to widow lady as pavathi....now the minors atained the majaority around 50yrs..these sons filed partition suit aginst thier mother and buyer the above transaction is not binding entited for my share and states as mother only a defacto guardian.

The judgement you refer holds that the (mother)widow of the minor children is the defacto kartha of the family in the absence of any other male member. As such, the sale effected is valid and it cannot be questioned later when the siblings attain majority.
