My grandfathers are two brothers one is hindu and the other is christian.My family is Christian.My father died when i was 2 years age.Now My cousin from the hindu family.he got Schedule caste certificate as his tribe is namasudra.Now i have done the online form fillup and I wrote OBC2 which give Christian converted from Schedule caste.Now the counter person is asking you too have to write namasudra.If i give namasudra i would be a Hindi.What should i do to prove him?

Being a christian you cannot claim to be Scheduled caste. Instead, all christian converts from scheduled cast is to be treated as BC inrespect of State concessions and OBC for central Government reservations.What you have done is right.

All Scheduled Case candidates converted as Christian Community are treated as BC candidates in respect of State services and OBC for Central government services.

So now to which person should i contact to get the matter solved.as people are saying that as your surname sub caste is namsudra whether you become a Christian or anything that is your religion not ur "Caste".You belong to Hindu and you are Sc as namasdra caste.

You have to follow your family lineage only, you should not listen to some people's absurd opinions which will make your life miserable. if your grandfather was Christian and your father too was a Christian, what is the problem in you following the Christianity which s the religion in which you took birth.
Dont get misguided by such false issues and get trapped for some wrongful gains.
