I have heard from someone that passport can be used as surety.
Is it true ? submitting passport copy only will valid as a surety without any fd/rc or any other thing

Received summon in 138 NI act,already given personal bond of 35000,now need to take bail on next date.
My question is apart from RC/FD what can be produced as surity, my friend will give my surity,can he submit his passport copy as surity, i heard from someone passport can be given as surity and then no need of RD/FD/cash bond
