Pay fixation for exserviceman in bank

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 07 December 2020 This query is : Resolved
Sir
I joined a public sector bank in officer cadre after completing 20 years in indian air force as PBOR (Personnel below officer rank). I have not availed any exserviceman quota and cleared the exam as a general candidate. Am I eligible for pay fixation in officer cadre in bank as the basic pay starting in bank is much lower than what I got in air force on retirement.

No. Pay will be fixed on the pay scale which is in existence at the time of joining in the Bank.

Since you have taken voluntary retirement and not availed reservation available for ESM qua test conducted by Bank, but you have taken age relaxation to be eligible for joining Bank service, you can not get 'pay protection' in your new assignment.
There might be union of ESM in your Bank, contact them for rules on the subject.

Send request to appointing authority through proper channel with one direct copy marked so, requesting fixation of your pay by considering your IAF service.

Any how, you can represent and, if so required, seek judicial review
