Plead for relative

Guest (Querist) 23 August 2009 This query is : Resolved
Who are those relatives on behalf of whom an advocate can not plead?
Where I will get the actual provision relating to this?

I think for pleading a case as an advocate, there is no such binding. Lets see what our friends say...

There is no such restriction. An advocate can very well represent and file vakalath for any of his relatives.
If he himself is a party and pleading inperson, he should not wear Advocate's band.
