Police call on application made by wife

(Querist) 23 December 2012 This query is : Resolved
Wife left my house before 3 years ago. DV Case is running since last 1 year in court. Now fresh complaint for dowry demand filed by my wife in Mahila Thana. Mahila thana calls me on my mobile to attend the Thana. Should I attend or ignore it. If I not attend what should police take necessary steps? what should I do now?
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 23 December 2012
You choice.

You have not given any fact regarding reasons for discord.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 23 December 2012
It is not advisable to attend if FIR is registered.
First apply for anticipatory bail and then visit the thana.

ONCE MATTER IS SUB-JUDICE, U NEED NOT GO OR GIVE ANY STATEMENT EXCEPT TO COURT.

If I not attending than definetely there should be chance to FIR and arrest the police from my house at any time in coming days.
If I attend police could arrest me at police thana. If I am not attending the thana than arest should be done from my house including my parents also. Arresting picture should be seen by neighbours, friends etc. this picture could be horrorible to my old age parents. So, I have I decided to arrest at police station tiis could be comfortable to me and my family, otherwise every day and night suffer lot of mental tension
