In a letter of authorisation, it is required to attest the signature of the person who is authorised by the authorising person. In the case of Power of Attorney, signatures are attested by two witnesses.
Manish Singh (Expert) 05 March 2010
as per my view the signature of the attorney is attested by the principal for the purposes of clarity and convenience since power of attorney act does not prescribe any attestation by two witnesses. but in general, poa is attested by witnesses as any other legal document.
