The Power of Attorney survives till
1. The cancellation of the Power of Attorney deed by a revocation deed
or
2. The death of principal or agent
or
3. The happening or impossibility to perform the purpose for which the Power of Attorney is executed

The power of attorney survives till the principal wishes, if it is given without consideration.
Though there are amendments in giving POA to persons other than close relatives. Stamp duty is charged on the value of property as charged for purchase if the agent is not a close relative of the principal.

POA has valid period. If it is cancelled by the principal or if the intention or purpose of the POA has taken place ,then the validity period of the POA comes to end.
