Purchasing land from 4th party with original owner as sc/st

Can i purchase a site (In Karnataka) formed out of a layout who's original owner is SC/ST and the land granted to him by govt . he has sold (not got any permission from govt authority to sell it) the site to person X and then X sold that land to Y and Y then sold that land to Z. now Z is forming a layout and selling the sites. Can i purchase the site?

Dont go for purchase of that property, because it is sold without the permission of the govt., In case of sc/st lands there will be a prohibition to sell the land for certain period.

If the sale is set aside by court the said SC/ST may nto be bound to refund the purchase price.
