Now they r closing their yard ( Container freight station). They r unable to give proper reason for that cause. I as employee of company never seeing any major cause to shut down C.F S. Is their any legal way to compel company management to show cause behind shut down.

Without giving notice of permanent closer and without giving you compensation as per lay, the company can not retrench any employee.

The employee can stop closing down the unit. Concentrate getting your statutory dues. Closure seems inevitable.

The company has to seek prior prmission of the labour department in which the interest o the employees especially workman is taken into consideration viz. the closure compensation is provided. As the same has not been initiated in your matter, immediately raise a demand notice to the Labour-cum-conciliation officer under the provisions of Industrial Act, 1947.

Sorry and thanx for your generous responce. Company management responded with a letter to our worker's union. There they mention about slack period in import export business. But they have built new CFS ( container freight station) at other place. And this is Suspicious.
