RCR delay

I have filed for a RCR in first week of Sep after my wife deserted me 7 months back for a trivial fight.Now my lawyer says she has got the date of appearance in the court sometime in Feb 2011. Will it take so long to even communicate for the first time with the other side ?I am kind of worried how long all this is going to take as my life is at stake..Feeling so depressed..Can somebody help me with the timeframe and procedure.

Usually the courts do not hurry through the matrimonial matters as it is done in other cases. You have to wait for sometime since the courts are overburdened nowadays with thousands and thousands of matrimonial cases. There is no need for you to feel depressed for this small thing. Be confident and you will be rendered justice.

The dates posted for hearing varies from court to court. In any case the first date after 5 months seems to be bit long. Ask your advocate to be cautious so that no such long dates are fixed.
