well,
Thanks for the your valuable advice .How long it will take to get legal heir certificate should we need pay any duty for the same. it is mandatory to get one ,just partion deed will not serve the propose.

Only one day time is required for that purpose and duty is nominal though different from State to State and it shall be better to have partition deed duly executed.

For what purpose you want legal heir certificate?

No Court will take legal heir certificate as evidence.

well, i was adviced earlier in this forum by expertlawyers that i may need to, apply for legal heir certificate to trnasfer my late father's property. That was the reason.Is it really necesary to get one, what is the duty i need to pay, how long will it take.
