I have completed M.A.(English) through correspondence in 2012 (2010-12) and also completed B.ED(one year) in 2012 through Regular mode. Are my both degrees valid and if I am eligible to apply for Government services such as PGT posts in KVS and Navodaya Himalayas.Recently UGC has permitted dual degree courses in India. Are these valid for someone who have had dual degree prior to 2013 as in my case. Please help me.

In that case,Mr.Dhingra sir,Can I apply for Govt. services such as KVS and NVS as the requirement for these examinations is to have both B.ED and M.A.? Will not I face any problem while verification of the documents?

Dear Mr. Bothra,
I am afraid the organizations when prescribed M.A. as one of the qualifications might have meant M.A. after the base three year degree qualification of B.A.
It appears that you have done your M.A. through distance education without first having a three year degree course. Please confirm.
If that be so, then probably you will not be considered as fulfilling the prescribed qualification of M.A. B.ED.

my question is regarding validity of my dual degrees (M.A. and B.ED)for Govt. jobs.By the way,I completed B.A before completing M.A.

If you had completed B.A. before M.A., then your dual degree M.A. B.Ed., is valid for all purposes.

There is nothing to be so anxious about this especially in the event where you have not even applied for any job or that your application has not been rejected for the reasons you are so anxious about, first apply for the post, see the result from which you will automatically come to know about the rules governing the issue.
