Regarding the posession of original marksheets and other documents

sir, my friend was doing the job in N.G.O and therefore he had to submit his original documents in that N.G.O but after joining the such n.g.o. he refused to work in that n.g.o. and he went to recover his original documents so the N.G.O. denied for giving it now he needs that document for further study so what di i suggest him to recover his document legally?

What purpose you produced the original documents, while giving why you do not get acknowledgement for the documents, if you got any acknowledgement then why they refuse to give back, is any agreement being signed by you?
We need more details about your query, dont ask haphazard query,

do you have any acknoledgement issued by the NGO for receipt of your original documents? If not you cannot do anything, even if you issued legal notice they may say you have not given anything to them.
If you have got an acknowledgement then issule legal notice and also instruct them you would claim damages.

Obtain duplicate it is less cumbersome that going through court processes.
