When you file a trademark application, you will mention the date of use of the products. Therefore unless you are filing an application as a proposed user, you must limit your application to goods which are being used.

There is no basis for selecting products. The products which are marketed by a trader should be applied for registration.

In an existing trademark application, if by mistake some goods are omitted, an amendment in form - 16 can be filed. But once a trademark is registered there is no possibility of adding goods. A fresh application has to be filed.
