Sir my question is how can a sold prpritr can get his name of business registered. Please tell me the detailed procedure.

Yes, a sole proprietor can also register his trademark.
He has to carry out a search to find out whether a similar trademark has been registered. For detailed procedure, you can refer to the website iprindia.nic.in
It is advisable to avail the services of local trademark attorney or an agent.

By registering to the sales tax obtaining VAT No. it amounts to regn., and it is mandatory to obtain.

Two things here Anish - (1) registration of your company by obtaining VAT registration; and registration of your company's NAME to act as a trademark registration. Wonder what is your actual question?

Veeda g i m talking about registration of a sole proprietorship not a company. And my question relats to registration 4 trade mark purposes
