Registration & stamp duty on car parking area.

The Apex Court and High Courts alos made a rule that Builders not to sale the Carparking space and they are bound to provide. In such case, There is no sale of Car Parking Space and no consideration payable to it.
Some Builders are demarking the parking areas to avoid confusing and quarrel between the Car owners on parking space.
On the other hand, in Maharashtra if we go for Flat registration, if the document specifies specification of the Parking slot, the SRO charging Stamp Duty and Registration charges calculationg separately for the parking area. If Car Parking space is not salable as per Rule how SRO can charge for it.

SRO cannot change for the Car Parking space as there is no sale and purchase of that space rather the same is the part of the common area allotted to a particular member of the society to use. You may challenge the action of SRO in a writ petition.
