Right khasra number but wrong khata number in land regd

I have a land which was registered 25 years ago. In the registration document, the Khasra number was righty mentioned but the Khata number was wrong. It was realized 20 years later, then it was corrected by the concerned officials and rightly updated in the Register 2. Now I am trying to sell that land but concerned officials are saying due to wrong khata number I am not authorized to sell the land and the official who corrected the Khata number in Register 2 did not not have authority to do that. The Govt records now has the right Khata and Khasra number against my name(post correction).
Please suggest what can be done.

You may take up the matter with the higher authorities or approach the High Court in a Writ Petition.

Thank you sir. Want to know one more thing. Does wrong khata number make the land registration invalid or right khasra number is enough to keep the registration valid ?
