Rights of an accused under police custody

Dear Sir/Madam(s),

Please let me know the rights of accused under police custody, where the accused is not turned in to offender or miscreant.

And please clarify on following also:

1. Is arrest warent is compulsory to arrest a person?

2.Can police personal have the power to beat the accused personal when guilty is not proved?

3. Is it compulsory to produce the accused personal before the Magistrate with in 24 hrs, if not produced what are the rights of accused?

4. Is it compulsory to stay under the police custody till the guilty/offence is proved?
