(Querist) 21 August 2018 This query is : Resolved
what is the next process if any information sought under RTIAct has not been provided by the competent authority within stipulated period under the Act?
Kishor Mehta (Expert) 21 August 2018
If the public information officer does not reply to the RTI application or if the reply is not satisfactory, you can file RTI First Appeal to the First Appellate Authority within 30 days of the receipt of the reply of the PIO.

If no reply was received the RTI applicants could complain directly to "State Information Commission " or " Central Information Commission "

Did you read the provisions of Section 19 of the Right to Information Act, 2005?
A bad question paper set for the experts.

Do you mean sir(s} that public PIO just ignore the application simply wait to let applicant moves to appellate for reply?
that I don't think so.
I presume that If in any case PIO has no document on record to furnish specific information sought in that office then what is the purpose going to appellate. Why not go to court where either the concerned PIO let accept or deny the content of applicant's application in mai petition...
Is it not viable sir?
