Sale deed

Dear Sir,
Our company is willing to sale/auction its two old jeeps "As in where basis" calling quotation from interested parties.

Is it necessary to execute sale deed in stamp paper for sale/auction(transfer of ownership) of these fixed assets? or simple letter in company's letter head is sufficient?

..better execute a proper sale deed and get it register to avoid future hassles if any.

The vehicles are required to be properly transfered in favour of the buyers means providing affidavit, form 29, 30 & 31 in duplicate as well as NOC from the registration authority..
