Service related- bonus

(Querist) 05 January 2017 This query is : Resolved
I joined as a ‘Class C employee’ under a department in Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, on 02/03/2012. I ‘technically resigned’ from the above said post (Basic pay- Rs. 6854/- & Grade pay-Rs.2000/-) on 08/03/2016 and joined in a higher post (Class C employee, Basic Pay-Rs.9350/- & Grade Pay- Rs.4200/-) on 13/03/2016 in same department by direct recruitment (under another Drawing & Disbursing Officer).
I requested to previous Drawing & Disbursing Officer to release the bonus for the period 2015-2016. But it was not released from that office till now.
My humble question is, am I eligible to draw the bonus for the period 2015-2016. If I am eligible, how can I proceed for that? (Now I am drawing basic pay Rs.44900/- (level 7)).
Thanking You,

technical resignation means the service is continuing and you get bonus for the entire period in new deptt.

You can get the bonus, write to previous DDO letter through proper channel with direct copy to them.

Agree with experts.

Ms Usha Kapoor is kind enough to agree with all experts.

However, I have expressed that he can get bonus from new deptt for entire period and Mr RK Goyal offered considered opinion that he may get bonus from past employer. Our views are contradictory to each other.

Ms Kapoor may kindly elaborate whether she agrees with me or with Mr Goyal.

Bonus is related to the performance of the past year. So, your claim with the previous DDO is justified, subject to fulfillment of prescribed conditions for grant of bonus.

Well advised, agree with the expert P. S. DHINGRA.
