My Father in law has a small piece of land in Mangalore, In all he has a wife, 2 daughters n 3 sons n my wife is the eldest, V belong to Muslim community
Now since past 5 yrs v r not in taking terms n they have totally abandoned us.
My Father in law i still alive
I want to know can my wife still ask for her share in her fathers property n what will b the outcome
Pls help me

If the property is self acquired property of your father in law, you can't claim. If not you can claim

Dear Rizwan
You can not Claim the property till he alive, Self Acquire property and ancestral property, there is no differences in Muslim Law, till he is alive he is the absolute owner of the property.
