Hello Sir,
I have purchased a resale flat 3 months ago. From that month I am regularly paying maintenance cost to the society. Society members have decided and agreed upon Rs. 10000 for share certificate. I have not yet submitted the same to them. Can I ask them to show me if share certificate is being issued to all the other members or not. I want to give Rs. 10000 only if other things are clear. Also can I ask them about the till date spending to them.

you mean to say transfer charges? these are payable by the transfer or .why is society asking for Rs 10,000? if transfer charges are paid society cannot ask for further Rs 10,000

Yes, actually the society members have decided that the buyer will pay Rs. 10000 and seller will pay Rs. 10000 total 20000 as transfer fees. I do not want to pay my contribution of Rs. 10000 unless they assure me that the society account is clean. So, can I ask them regarding the same ?

transfer charges are payable by transfer or unless in your agreement it is mentioned that both shall pay 50%each . if so you are bound to pay otherwise flat wont be trnasferred in your name

I have sale deed and agreement in my name. Now the only issue is society transfer. I have heard that few of the flat owners have not paid transfer fees when they purchased flat. So I am just reluctant to pay my contribution unless everything from society is clear. So I just want to ask them about the account clarification. Can I do so ?

you are penny wise and pound foolish . pay the charges and get flat transferred in your name . then bother about society accounts

What if I don't pay. What all possible actions they can take.
