Status quo given in a civil matter till futher orders what is the limitation for it

I always consider 'status quo' to be the most contentious order as both the parties may treat the status quo as per trier own consideration.
Anyway once such order is given the court expects both the parties to keep the suit property in such conditions as it was there at the time of passing the order.

Status Quo is given on temporary basis, till next date of hearing, and once Ex-5 is heard and decided, that order follows.
interin and ad-interin injunctions order will replace status quo. a STAY ORDER, pending hearing and final disposal of the civil suit last till case last, say few months to few years. if appealed in High Court,Many yeas say 10-15 yrs
Status Quo is for very short duration, and usually extended on every date.

If a competent Court has passed 'status quo' untill further Order, it will remain till disposal of the matter or such order is set-aside by an appellate Court. Violation of 'status quo' order during its substitence will amount to contempt of court.

There is no time limitation for the status quo order, unless it is specifically said.
Till further order means, till further order from this court or appellate court.
