Students studying on expired visa. responsibilities of the educational institutions

There has been a case wherein an international student had joined an educational institution in India, but during the continuance of the study, the visa granted got expired and the student continues studies without renewing the same.
Please do confirm the duties, liabilities & responsibilities of the educational institution in such cases

Educational institution is concerned with only educational activities and does not have any concern with violation of laws of the land by the student. It is the liability of the student concerned only to get his VISA renewed in time in his own interest. The institution concerned can only help in confirming the continued enrollment of the student with the institution.

Student Visas are issued for the duration of the academic course of study or for a period of five years whichever is less, on the basis of letters of admission from Universities/recognized colleges or educational institutions in India.

if the visa has expired the institute should call upon the student to make an application for extension of visa
