succession certificate

sir,
my father had 2 wives i am from 2 wife.my father died in 1982.1 was 7 yrs at that time.after my fathers death my step brother used to look after the property.now how can i get the succesion certificate.what documents wll be needed for application of certificate

You can apply for the succession certificate by filing a suit for declaration against your step brother and mother, but you won't get any share in the ancestral property of your father, you are entittle for the share in the self acquired property of your father.

Succession certificate would not work here.

You must file partition suit against step brother and mother.

Yes I agree with Mr.Ravikant but succession certificate is your birth right so prove your birth and get certificate. If you filed partition suit by calling records from concerned departments including your birth registration wherever authentically recorded as you are the son of your father. so all the best.
