Take attested photocopy of these documents and keep it with you.
Hand over these documents to the Court through your lawyer. If the court wants it, why won't you give it - whether it is for a flat or whatever. Take an as filed copy of the index sheet filed with the documents, where the court's acknowledgement will be available. That will be proof enough for you to say that the originals had been submitted to court.

Believe in your lawyer / act as per his advice or change him, if not satisfied.

1. This " believing in your lawyer stuff" has gone on for too long . A good number of the Black Coated fraternity possibly simply thrives on professionally selling their clients down the river without the slightest compunction. It is good to know from the lawyer what his plan or strategy is to attack the defence of the defendants/ plaintiffs. The client must take an active interest in his case and should also attend the hearings. Also simple matter of arithmetic, If the Plaintiff is honest then the defendant is dishonest and his advocate is wilfully defending a crook. Morally and righteously he should not defend a crook . When the stakes are high no holds are barred and truth and untruth clash and present a murky dish for the Learned Judge to decide as to who is right and who is not. Cases go on for years and years - from a generation to the next and so on In today's Times of India there is a News Item which states that an Appeal may take about 30 /38 years to come to fruition About the execution of this decision can be the subject matter of yet yet another story . So the moral is - avoid litigation till the very last extremis

The court rules can guide you.

The documents asked by the court be supplied to the court with court's acknowledgment.
