Sue for defamation.

(Querist) 26 September 2012 This query is : Resolved
SUPPOSE IF I CATCH SOMEONE DOING FOOLISH THING IN PUBLIC PLACE AND I POST HIS VIDEO TO SOCIAL NETWORKING WILL THIS LEADS TO SUE FOR DEFAMATION
Guest (Expert) 26 September 2012
Do you feel that you have been granted a license to illegally and publically defame a person world over through the social network, if someone has committed a foolish thing knowingly or unknowingly at a place? Why the defamed person publically over the public network with your special efforts should not have the right to sue you for defamation?

If his act would have violated any law, you could have reported the matter to the police instead of defaming any more that too world over. If the act that person is not violative of any law, forget that by thinking that you have also enjoyed the scene like others on the spot.

It seems, you have not understood my reply properly. Why they won't have any right to sue you if your post in the social networking sites tends to defame them?
