Summon

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 12 April 2010 This query is : Resolved
I have received a summon issued by the Metropolitan Magistrate, 10th Court, Andheri asking me to appear before Metropolitan Magistrate, 20th court, Mazgaon.

I would like to know is the summon proper. If yes do I need to appear before the Andheri Court or Mazgaon Court.

Yes, please do not ignore the summons. If you do you will be violating law and insulting court.

A summons is issued when you are hte concern party or you are a witness to a case and your inputs are required by the court for further judgement.

Be more clear and I can help you.

My question is can one court issue a summon asking to appear before another court
inspector legal metrology(weights and measures) (Expert) 12 April 2010
the summon is normally served through police machinery. there is seal and stamp of the court on the summon.also there is mentioned purpose and case no on the summons. if any or both conditions are fulfilled u should not ignore the summon but you should appear in the court and ensure the facts regarding the summons.
