Termination of Assistant Manager Grade-I of ICICI bank can be challenged under ID Act or not, Kindly advice.

Designation alone does not decide the person shall be covered under the def. of ‘Employee’ as in Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, as ‘Workman’ as in ID Act ore not?

Refer your service rules, if the post of Asstt. Manager is in workman category, it can be challenged otherwise not.

The Assistant Manager of PSU Banks are not covered in workman class.

ID Act is not meant for executives, but for the non-executive workers class.
