Dear sir,
Actually my mother has been murdered in the year 2009 by my neighbour in amethi, uttar pradesh when i was in delhi.I fought a case for 30 months in session court but due to benefit of doubt he was released by court. the articles robbed by him from my house was also recovered by police but still i haven't got the same.
after that i appealed in lucknow high court personally and the last date of hearing was 2nd may 2012. in this legal battel i have lost everything but still waiting for justice.i also had a blind and deaf sister who was reliant on mother and she also died after 4 months of mothers death.
So i want to know that is their any provision in law so that i can get compensation from the accused family.the accused is a history sheeter and has many charges running in different courts
malipeddi jaggarao (Expert) 11 September 2014
But he was acquitted on the grounds of benefit of doubt. The matter is over.

As the accused is acquitted, you can seek any compensation from him.

You can go for further appeal.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 13 September 2014
@Arunagiri sir!

How can the legal heir of the murdered person can demand compensation from the an acquitted person and under which law?
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 17 September 2014
Expert Mr. Arunagiri has by oversight omitted to include not with can. Agreed that there is no provision to claim compensation from a person acquitted of charges against him, wait for the result of appeal.
