Transfer of immovable property

(Querist) 06 March 2012 This query is : Resolved 
according to will (unregistered will) of my grandpa his immovable property transferred to his 4 children..n property comes under pagadi system..now what will be formalities to be carry out to transfer the name of property n is it require to register the same property??

You'll have to obtain a 'probate' of the Will from a court of law, and after the same is granted you can approach for mutation of your property in your favour.

File an application along with the copy of the will to concerned officer to enter your name to the property on the basis of the will.

Ajai is correct tenancy, right can not be bequeathed by will .
