Dear sirs,
with reference to the subject, i would like to know TYPE/NATURE OF ESTABLISHMENT OF A.P.S. POLICE HOUSING CORPORATION AND ANDHRA PRADESH HOUSING CORPORATION WHETHER THESE TWO FALLS UNDER THE GOVT COMPANY OR PVT COMPANY ?

IF SO I REQUEST YOU TO KINDLY EDUCATE ME ON THIS ISSUE.

Both companies are Government companies owned by Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Government of Andhra Pradesh is major shareholder of these government companies.

Both are government companies and not private companies.

Prima facie the corporations are creation of government for welfare of police personnel of Andhra Pardesh as well as general public.

But why Service tax authority is firmly declaring that, these two corporations are not belongs to Govt Company adn does not have major shares by Govt.
